Amsterdam in June is home to many festivals and events, which make it one of the best months to visit the city. With temperatures varying between 17 and 20° Celsius, it is when the Dutch finally take off their trench coats and take out the summer sandals!
First of all, this is when the Vondelpark Open Air Theatre starts hosting events, shows and performances, from jazz nights, to stand-up comedy, there is plenty to see and enjoy.
There is also the Holland Festival, which is a famous international festival of performance arts, which attracts participants and audience from all over the world.
There is also the Holi Festival of Colors which takes place in an open-air arena in Amsterdam in June and is a fun fiesta where people throw bags with coloured powder at each other, drink and listen to great music, performed by famous DJ’s.
