Visiting Amsterdam in April is great – the flowers are blooming, the temperatures sometimes reach 17-18° Celsius, Vondelpark is absolutely magnificent, and apart from occasional showers, the weather is quite pleasant. At the end of April Netherlands celebrates the King’s Day, when everyone dresses in orange, locals and visitors alike, rent boats and travel around the canals while celebrating and drinking to the health of the King! Long Live the King!
Parties start the night before, with various artists and DJ’s performing in main clubs, bars, outdoor venues and main squares, and continues till the following night.
