Formed by the River Rhone this lake is situated at the Franco-Swiss border and is a very important vacation spot for the tourists. This is surrounded by many attractive spots like vineyards and wineries of Lausanne at North shore and Montreux a historical town with many castles at the eastern tip.

As you start walking from rue do Mont Blanc you get a view of harbor and the most famous fountain Jet d’Eau near Jardin d’ Anglais. It pumps approx. 500 liters of water per second up to the height of 140 meters in the air per second.

It’s near the old town towards east and is a very beautifull English garden with majestic view of Lake Geneva. Apart from picturesque property this garden is famous for its huge flower clock Horloge Fleurie. This clock is fully functional and made of 6000 different flower types. The clock has a diameter of 5 meters and circumference of 15.7 meters.

In the hillside south of the river Rhone is situated the old town with its cobblestone street, cafes, old buildings, shopping points etc.

It is situated in the heart of the old town it is a cathedral made in 12th century. Here you can find the chair too from which the Calvin preached.

Next in the old town comes The Maison Tavel is the oldest house in the Geneva now turned into museum. In the Parc des Bastions at the back of the town is the longest bench in the world made in 1767.

Then you will come across a 300ft wall which represents or honors the Reformation, a movement that establishes the Protestantism as an branch of Christianity in 17th century called as "Reformation wall".

Quite old and the most famous opera house in Geneva which was built in 1876. It’s a majestic architecture and beautifully decorated with huge auditorium and the largest stage in Switzerland. It can accommodate approx. 1500 people at a time and has fantastic acoustic settings.

It a very beautifully constructed catholic church located opposite the main train station. It was built in 1852 -1857 and was closed in 1875 by the anti-clerical government.

It is the most famous and large bridge in Geneva named after Mountain Mont Blanc. This bridge connects the old Geneva with the modern one.
