It’s a world heritage monument built by King Manuel I in 1502, it’s a symbol of prosperity and power during the period known as “Age of discovery”. This was the place where the great discoverer Vas co Da Gama and his crew spent there last night before leaving to discover India. His tomb is also situated here.

This too is declared as an heritage site by UNESCO and is made in Manueline style but also has some Moorish effect. It is built in the water of Tagus River to control the entrance through the sea in the Lisbon city. A must watch!

An old wooden tram travelling through the prettiest part of Lisbon old city. It picks you from the foot of Barrio Alto then crosses the markets in Baixa and Chiado and the streat mesh of Alfama and Gracia.

The oldest district of Lisbon and a Moorish development. It is a maze of street mesh with red roof tops. It is situated on the slope between the Sao Jorge castle and Tagus River. Its famous center of Fado music.

It was built in 1902 by Raoul de Mesnier du Ponsard, it connects two streets Rua Aurea with Largo do Carmoone 45 m above the other. It’s a great ride on this wrought iron elevator.

The most beautiful beach at the Europe’s westernmost point it is a great place with many terrace restaurants. As Lisbon is at the Atlantic coastal area it has several beaches of which this is a most attractive.

): This castle dates back to 6th century and is situated at the highest hill in the heart of the city. Inside the castle you find 18 towers, canons, park, restaurant everything to spend your time comfortably. The view of the city from the castle is also very picturesque.

A vast museum with almost 4000 art piece collection at present. It was formed by Calouste Gulbenkian a very wealthy man and a great art lover. The variety of collection comprises Egyptian, Middle Eastern and Asian artifacts, to Turner, Monet, Manet, Degas, Burne-Jones and Gainsborough.

The second biggest oceanarium in the world was built in 1998 at the occasion of world expo98. It is the largest one in the Europe, there are four separate aquariums representing the ecosystem of four major oceans – Atlantic, Pacific, Indian and Antarctic. In the center it has 5 million liter tank all the oceans as one. It has more than 450 species. The water surrounding the aquarium is quite calm and good for kayaking.

A very vast space connecting the riverfront with city, it has the space for relaxation, sports, restaurants and also at the other end is the longest bridge in Europe “Vas Co De Gama ”.
