Though the weather in Amsterdam in October leaves more to be wished for, with an average temperature of 15° Celsius, it does not stop the Dutch from having a good time. In October there are a number of dance and music events such as the ADE Festival, Dance Event, and the Music Festival, which attract well-known DJ’s and the dancing crowd.
Apart from that, it is mostly rainy in Amsterdam in October, so there are very few good days that you can spend outdoors. This is not to say that you can’t enjoy shopping at the numerous picturesque pop-up stores in the center. Though Halloween is not a Dutch celebration, there are some dress-up parties that take place in bars and clubs around the city.
