1. Berlin Cathedral
The Berlin Cathedral is an imposing building renovated after the WWII bombing, famous for its beautiful dome and its quiet crypt, which contains the coffins of Germany’s past royal families. It is possible to climb up the dome and enjoy stunning views of Berlin’s city center.
2. Checkpoint Charlie Museum
Surely this museum has its drawbacks: it might be a little too crowded and hot during the summer while its price might be felt a little steep to some. However this museum, dedicated to the Berlin Wall and the impact of it over the population of Berlin is absolutely fascinating. The museum is really huge and history junkies will find plenty of information.
3. Brandenburg Gate
This world famous arch, built in the end of the 18th century as a sign of peace, was once dividing Berlin as it was situated in no man’s land. Over the years it has become a symbol of unification of German people. It is strongly recommended to see this monument at night, when it is lit up.
4. Television Tower

10. Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe
This memorial consists in a massive area covered by almost 3000 slabs of concrete and an underground museum which tells the story of ordinary people’s lives abruptly taken during the Nazi era. You can also experience the place at night, where the ghostly lights create a gloom, anguish atmosphere.
