The Eiffel Tower is the best known symbol of Paris (and the whole France) all over the world. The observation platform of the Tower is situated at 276m of height and besides being the tallest in the European Union, it allows you to spot the architectonical beauties of Paris. Be ready for long queues, although you can gain some time climbing the stairs instead of taking the lift.

The Louvre museum boosts different records among which stands out its 1st position in the chart of most visited museums of the world. Although the museum exhibits 35000 objects including Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, it is also remarkable from the outside, as the building itself was formerly a fortress built in the 12th century.

Once well-known for gathering famous artists, this district of Paris is now dominated by the enchanting white Sacre Coeur Basilica and lot of shops selling unique gifts. The Arc de Triomphe is the biggest arc in the world and it is the perfect ending point after a stroll along the Avenue de Champs Elysees. It is situated in the middle of gigantic roundabout and can also be climbed to the top.

This modern art museum is definitely a must see for anyone into modern art, but can be interesting for any visitor. Although the post-modern building is sometimes considered a monstrosity by French people, it undoubtedly attracts million of visitors each year for its expositions, escalators and art pieces.

Moulin Rouge is a world-famous cabaret, situated in the red light district of Pigalle and recognized by its iconic red windmill. The cabaret was founded in 1889 and is known as one of the birth places of the can-can dance; nowadays it is a tourist attraction that offers musical dance entertainment family oriented.

The Cathedral of Notre Dame is one of the finest examples of gothic architecture in the world. Inside the building, the stain glass windows are absolutely magnificent although it might be a little crowded. The entrance to the cathedral is free. Although a fee is paid for climbing to the top, the views from Ile de la Cite’ are well worth any price and queue.

Although it is not situated in Paris, Versailles is easily reachable by a short train ride. The most important attraction of the town is its Palace, a château and former residence of the French royal family. Versailles is famous because of its enormous size, wealthy rooms and breathtaking gardens.

A boat trip on the river Seine is a great way to see Paris under a completely different light, also because it often includes excellent wine, food and atmosphere while beating the awful Parisian traffic jam.

These gardens used to be open just for the royalty and nowadays are the second largest public park in Paris. Have a picnic here while watching Parisian parents taking children there to play and relax or groups playing several sports.
