With the weather fluctuating between 15 and 19°C, visiting Paris in May is a wonderful time to explore the city, fall in love with it and marvel at its glory. The parks are beautiful, the alleys are alluring and you can most certainly feel that spring is in the air.
Every year the famous tennis tournament, Roland Garros takes place in Paris in May, this sports event attracts thousands of visitors, as well as Parisians. May is also famous for the European Night of Museums, when all the famous Museums in the city are open till midnight, there are special themed events taking place just for those two days and the entrance if free.
On the 1st of May Parisians celebrate the Labor Day and the Day of the Lily of the Valley, when nothing works, but these beautiful flowers that are believed to bring happiness are sold on every corner. May also has some religious celebrations, like the Ascension Day and the Day of the Holy Spirit.
