If you choose to travel to Crete in July, take into consideration that this is when the dry season begins, which means that rain is extremely rare, the temperatures are high, at around 30-32°C and the air is humid. These weather conditions are not ideal for any outdoor activity between midday and early afternoon, so you can relax on the beach under the umbrella, or in your hotel room. It gets slightly cooler in the evening and that’s when everyone goes outside. It is, however, a perfect beach season, with water already warmed up from the sun.

A wonderful festival takes place in Crete in July, usually during the second week, where in Rethymnon people celebrate Wine and organise musical shows, dancing on the street and wine tasting.
